Todd Sheer
I was born in New York City and have lived in Washington, DC, San Diego, Austin, and more recently, Durango, CO. Missing the big city, but loving all that Colorado had to offer, we decided to relocate to Denver and join Peak Gastroenterology Associates.
I served as a medical officer in the US Navy for 11 years following graduation from medical school. This included a two-year tour as a Battalion Surgeon for the Marine Corps and a humanitarian mission to Southeast Asia.
My interest in science, passion to help others, and a hands-on approach fueled my journey to become a physician. What I love most about medicine is the puzzle-solving aspect of listening to patients and balancing this with the appropriate use of testing to figure out a diagnosis and treatment plan.
I enjoy all things gastroenterology but have a special interest in hepatology and diseases of the liver.
I am blessed with a wonderful family including my wife, Deanne, and two boys, Alec and Bennett.
My interests include backpacking, skiing, weight training, reading, and vintage horror films.
